New Project Ideas For Computers

Recently, we have completed a very big project that involved a computer built inside of a desk with a raising and lowering table top. This was the first time we have ever attempted to do this and the desk is currently one of a kind that has been built completely from scratch. We here at Centorbi would like to walk you through our steps in completing this build so you can try out your own build and show us what you come up with! To begin with this build we started by creating a box inside a box as depicted in the following picture.

Following this step, we still did not know exactly what direction we wanted to go with the build with it being the first time ever and we had nothing to go off of. We decided on building a wall to complete the inside box and later on the opening was covered with glass. The box was the only major part and it may seem simple but there we several difficulties along the way, mostly being the amount of leg room that this build will take up and how you can sit comfortable without the bottom of the desk touching your knees. To fix this we went on to shrinking the box and making it skinnier so your knees had room to fit underneath while sitting.
After shortening the box we decided that adding 4 fans should be enough to keep the PC components cool. After adding in the fans and laminating the top, we had to find out how we were going to add all the components inside so, we laid them out on the bottom, mounted them, then inserted the bottom just by screwing it onto the inside box of the two.
After all the parts were put in and the bottom was screwed on, the built was pretty much complete. We took the box, sat it on top of the lift and then secured it. From there on out we had the option to customize it in whatever which way we chose. We added led strips and a glass top then the build was complete.

There is still some clean-up to be done clearly but we wanted to show you guys this build as soon as it was ready. Send up pics if you have a build similar to this on! If you're interested in getting a build like this we can create it for you as well! Call us for a general inquiry.
